Antique Brass Door Knobs

Our collection of antique brass door knobs from Heritage Brass include both mortice and rim door knobs. A variation on a brass finish these door knobs have a brass undertone with an antique finish to add age and maturity. This is achieved by the application of a bronze patina on top of the polished brass. Some of the bronze patina is then expertly removed using soft brushes to expose the brass below. Perfect for re-creating an aged door furniture look in a period style property. Due to this being a hand applied finish there is occasionally a variance in shade between products. This variance ensures each piece is unique and adds to the appeal of this beautiful collection.

Antique Brass Mortice Knobs

Our antique brass mortice door knobs are suitable for use with either a mortice sashlock or a mortice or tubular latch. The two knobs are connected by a spindle which passes through the lock or latch that has been morticed into the edge of the door. Turning the knobs rotates the spindle and operates the latch. Choose from the traditional Victoria style knobs, the classic Whitehall door knobs or the highly decorative Aydon door knobs.

Antique Brass Rim Knobs

If you have a rim lock fitted to the face of the door rather than morticed into the door edge, you will require rim door knobs. A set of rim knobs includes a knob with a rose for fixing to the opposite face of the door to the lock, and a second knob without a rose which fits directly up to the lock itself. Rim door knobs can be used with rim locks and rim latches.
