Union tubular mortice latch. Overall length is 91.5mm (backset 71.5mm) with bright zinc face plate and receiver. Used in conjunction with lever latch furniture. The longer backset on this latch is an advantage when using mortice knobs, it prevents the knuckles from catching on the door frame.

The product is fine, will do the job and good value for money, but compared to the mortice latch it is replacing, which were made around the 1950/60, there is noticeable drop in the quality of materials and construction. For example the latch is plastic compared to the old one which is made of solid brass.
