A door bolt is a great way of adding extra security to a door without having to cut the door away to fit a mortice lock.
Satin Brass Flush Bolts
Many door bolts are fitted horizontally to a door, a flush bolt is different as it fits vertically into the top or bottom of the door in the door face or the door edge. The door face or edge has to be cut away to house the body of the bolt and you would typically fit a flush door bolt to the inactive leaf of a pair of rebated double doors. Edge fitting makes the bolt inaccessible on the inactive leaf when the doors are locked closed.
