Union tubular mortice latch. Overall length is 91.5mm (backset 71.5mm) with bright zinc face plate and receiver. Used in conjunction with lever latch furniture. The longer backset on this latch is an advantage when using mortice knobs, it prevents the knuckles from catching on the door frame.
The overall length of this mortice latch is the measurement taken from the face plate to the back of the latch. The backset is the measurement from the faceplate to the centre of the spindle hole. The dimensions of the face plate are 24x57mm.
